Do's & Don'ts
Practical choices to reduce microfiber release.
✅ Do
- Prefer durable, lower-shedding fabrics when practical.
- Wash clothes only when needed.
- Use a microfiber-catching laundry filter or bag where appropriate.
- Follow the garment care label.
- Choose quality garments designed to last.
❌ Don't
- Wash every garment after a single light use.
- Overload the washing machine.
- Ignore care instructions.
- Treat an estimate as laboratory-tested product data.
- Throw away usable clothing just because it contains synthetic fibres.

Why It Matters
A simple introduction to microfiber pollution.
From clothes to water
Synthetic textiles can release tiny plastic fibres during washing. These fibres can enter wastewater and contribute to plastic pollution.
